In response to UK customer demand the Company has recently made a strategic change adding raspberries to both its fruit production and plant propagation. The skills developed in pot grown strawberry plant propagation during the last 15 years are transferable to the raspberry crop. Our intention is to produce pot grown plants developed from root cuttings taken from mother plants grown ex-tissue culture. As no stage of the production is soil based we believe this will minimise the risk of raspberry root rot. At the present time the main focus is on the production of primocane varieties, particularly, newer varieties which are becoming available with enhanced fruit qualities. We are also developing production of floracane varieties including pot grown long-cane plants. We have licensing arrangements in place which allow us to sell the following varieties: Primocane
Caroline - bred by Dr Harry Swartz of Maryland University

Research Institute
Field grown raspberry plants are also being produced on our Hampshire field site. This is a totally new site having never grown strawberries or raspberries before and it is our intention to use mother plants which have been derived from tissue culture to minimise soil born disease risks.
